We recommend a hard reset on your calculator. However, the resets described in the troubleshooting steps below may cause a loss of applications, programs, and data.
If at all possible please backup all your files by copying data files and programs from your calculator to a folder on your computer using TI Connect CE Software: https://education.ti.com/en-PH/software/details/en/CA9C74CAD02440A69FDC7189D7E1B6C2/swticonnectcesoftware

Step 1: Please try charging your calculator. If your calculator boots up, if the charge indicator displays a low charge, if it does let the calculator charge for a couple of hours. If the charge indicator does not increase after 2 hours or it will not stay powered on after disconnecting from the charging source please try the following steps:

Step 2: If you are using a wall charger, make sure you are using a TI wall charger or other UL-certified USB charger rated for at least 1 amp (usually written as “1A” or “1000 mA”). To determine whether your charger is UL-certified, flip it over to the inside, and read the label. Look for the UL stamp, and confirm that it states that it is 1000 mA or higher.

Step 3: If charging from your computer, ensure that your computer is not in sleep or hibernation mode.

Step 4: Ensure that you are using the USB cable that came with the calculator.

Step 5: Ensure that the USB cable is fully inserted into the calculator. The port is designed to fit the USB cable tightly, and to withstand the pressure necessary to securely connect the USB cable.

Step 6: Press the reset button on the back of the calculator.
After following these steps, allow the calculator to charge for 1-2 hours, to see if it is now holding a charge.
If the calculator does not turn on after these steps, please do the following:

Step 6: While holding the [2nd] [Del] keys down, press and release the RESET button on the back of the calculator. When the screen turns on, release the [2nd] and [Del] keys.

Step 7: Connect the calculator to the computer and verify the USB cable is completely pushed into the TI-84 Plus CE using a standard A to mini B USB Cable and it is a tight fit. If it is not completely pushed in the computer will not detect it.

Step 8: Download the latest Operating System for your calculator at: https://education.ti.com/en-ph/software/search/ti-84-plus-ce#view=handheld-operating-system

Step 9: Open the TI Connect™ CE Software

Step 10: Turn the calculator on. Make sure the calculator appears in the TI Connect CE Software Content Panel in the TI Connect CE Software, click on “Actions” and then “Send OS.” (Warning: Do not disconnect the cable during a transfer.)

Step 11: Navigate to the OS file you saved on your computer.

Step 12: Drag the file(s) to the "Connected Calculators" panel, and hover over the desired connected calculator.

Step 13: Release the mouse button when you see “+Copy”

7) Follow the prompts to install the application into your calculator
